We help you split all the expenses you share as a couple with a new type of debit card.
Each of you gets your own tgthr card. Link it to your checking account. Agree on a fair split for purchases on the cards.
Use either card anywhere MasterCard is accepted. We split your purchase and charge your checking account your fair share. Done 👊
Together, you and your partner each get your own tgthr card and agree how you want to split purchases. 50/50, 60/40 - whatever you two consider fair.
Use your tgthr cards anywhere Mastercard is accepted, which is almost everywhere!
We'll split your purchase and charge your share directly to your checking account.
We know every couple is unique and so has different financial situation so we let you two decide what's fair way to split purchases on the tgthr card between you two.
Let's do an example, let's say Avery and Jordan got Tgthr cards and chose to split their purchases 70% for Avery and 30% for Jordan (70/30). When Jordan buys some groceries for $100 at the store, we charge Avery $70 and Jordan $30.
Things change too, so whenever you want you can change the ratio for future purchases.
Back to our example... Jordan just got a raise and so they now set the split ratio to 50/50. Now when Avery uses their Tgthr card on date night for a $80 meal, they'll each be charge $40. (
Anyone you want.
Seriously, you don't need to have legal or other official connection to each other. However, you should probably really trust the other person since you'll automatically split any purchase on either Tgthr card with both of you
Being a part of the financial system (makes us sound important right?) we need to know who you are and to do this, we collect information to verify your identity. We only use this information to verify your identity and don't use it for tracking, marketing, or anything else.
Why do we need to do this?
Short answer — to make sure we're not helping someone do anything illegal
Long answer — to make sure we're not helping anyone launder money or helping anyone send money to someone that we're not supposed to (gangs, cartels, terrorists, 😱). The official blurb: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions (that's us) to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
So what exactly do we need to know?
Send us an email at [email protected]. Seriously, we'll talk about anything.
Questions about the Tgthr card, suggestions for the site, how couples should split expenses, why we did this, how to make your own debit card, surprise us...
